The Augury of Extinction

The world is a dangerous place. Humans have retreated from nature in light of the uprising of enraged nature spirits. An estranged brother and sister trek into forbidden woods, in the name of science, to manage an official interview with one of the most powerful of these beings. In the background, a woman possessed by revenge seeks out an elusive monster called the Nix. A young teen, soothing his own loneliness at the movie theater, finds friendship in a quiet but suspicious stranger. All these strings of fate tangle together in a final showdown that could mean the end or new beginning for all mankind.

"Templeton"

A story I once posted on Wattpad, back in the day. I was inspired to write this story while taking trash out at work, which was so sudden and strange I began writing right away! Not the typical way for inspiration to hit. Hopefully, the story isn't trash! The little slice of horror plays on the idea of evil doppelgangers and jins. Our main character, a troubled young man named Pete, is visited by a haunt in his image, and this being promises to grant wishes. To better his life, it insists. However, nothing comes for free, and this haunt is much more than it appears.
