The Cyclical Magic Saga

This will be a six-volume series, the epic romantasy I've always wanted to write, and I hope that you've always wanted to read. The first in the series is Clandestine, to be followed up a year apart by Duo Kings, Maledictions, Thin Places, Theurgy in Practice, and Full Circle. This section will be updated periodically with more generated art used for social media and in the future, hopefully some fanart. Characters

Bailey Eggars

Our main character and a newcomer to the magic island of Starfall. He develops quite a bit through the course of the first four books and lays the groundwork for the final two in ways you can't know unless you read! He's a warm-hearted, slightly fussy young man that catches the eye of the prince of Starfall the day they meet (both times). Bailey, ever the consummate flirt, sees no harm in the attention at first. Things escalate and his own withholding heart is stolen. He displays a rare inner strength when lives are on the line and it's no wonder that the age-old prince would be taken by both his external and internal charms.

Door Carnelian

Our second main character, the ruler of the source of all magic, Starfall Island. Secretly cursed and over a hundred years old, the prince hides his face with flamboyant masks and uniforms, assumingly on brand with his mysterious amusement park. The park brings tourism and gold to the island and the imagery of his countless disguises is perceived simply as intrigue, not the truth: that he is suffering from a curse of which time is ticking down for him. He's exceedingly creative in dance, writing, and music, as well as the most accomplished magic-user alive. Both a blessing and his weakness. He wallows in private loneliness, and when Bailey Eggars drops into his life, he is helpless in face of his desires, and allows the foreigner to distract him from his troubles. However, he might be putting Bailey in danger in the process.

Starfall Island

The setting of our story. The island is the only location on earth from which the phenomenon of magic exists. About one in every thousand people that visit or live on the island "awaken to magic", a random happenstance that allows a human to use the magic forces to influence the world around them in various ways. Such power is to be respected and coveted, and any awakened user must be trained and licensed. Though the Carnelian royal family are generous and pride themselves in civil diplomacy with other countries, resentment and jealousy still happens. Our prince is secretive, and this adds to the suspicion from other rulers. The island has a long, whimsical history of dignity and tradition, and have never made waves, even if waves have come for them. Door Carnelian is currently the last in line for this throne.
